Punjab government all set for 5th World Cup Kabaddi 2014. Sr. Sukhbir Badal, Deputy CM, Punjab announced about 5th edition of World Cup This tournament will have 14 participating nations in the men's section. The women's tournament will have 8 participating nations in it.
Punjab would seek more participation of countries from Europe, Africa, USA, Australia and other non representative sub-continents to give Kabaddi world class status.
11 sports stadiums that are set to be completed included Bathinda, Sangrur, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Mohali, Faridkot, PAU Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Ghudda.
